About the Authors
The Bentley Book Series is a team effort, with author/co-illustrator Nick Pintozzi and co-illustrators Connie Pintozzi and Guillermo Munro.
Nick and Connie formed BentDaiSha, LLC to publish the books. The name BentDaiSha comes from the three Chihuahuas, pictured at left: Bentley, with his mom, Angela Anspach; Daisy, with her mom, Connie; and Sasha, with her dad, Nick. Through the Bentley Book Series, BentDaiSha is striving to help bridge the generations, especially between schoolchildren and the elderly. BentDaiSha also is aiming to promote volunteerism and community involvement. Nick and Connie Pintozzi are members of the Society of Southwestern Authors, the Arizona Book Publishing Association, and the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators. Nick is a longtime copy editor at the Arizona Daily Star, and Connie is a retired City of Tucson financial services supervisor.
Their photographs and rough sketches are turned into computerized illustrations by Guillermo, a former Arizona Daily Star graphics director who is now an art director at a publication in the American Midwest. Guillermo is also pursuing a professional career in fine art.
